Forklift Operator / Material HandlerLocation: Suffolk, VA Pay: $21.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:00 PM Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-HirePosition SummaryA well-established manufacturing company in Suffolk, VA is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator / Material Handler to join its warehouse team.We are looking for someone with a strong work history, solid attendance, and 2+ years of recent forklift and warehouse experience. This position primarily operates an electric sit-down forklift and requires someone who is comfortable loading and unloading trailers, moving and stacking pallets, staging materials, and supporting shipping, receiving, and production.This is a long-term opportunity for a dependable employee looking to become part of a stable team.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate an electric sit-down forkliftLoad and unload trucks and trailersMove, stack, stage, and store pallets and materialsSupply materials to production areas as neededVerify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damageUse RF scanners and warehouse inventory systemsAssist with shipping, receiving, order staging, and inventory activitiesPerform forklift safety inspections and report equipment concernsMaintain clean and organized aisles, docks, and staging areasFollow all warehouse, forklift, PPE, and safety proceduresQualifications2+ years of forklift, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience preferredRecent sit-down forklift experience strongly preferredExperience loading and unloading trailersRF scanner and inventory experience preferredStrong safety awareness and attention to detailReliable attendance and dependable work historyAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing/warehouse environmentAbility to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to work Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:00 PMMust be eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorshipMust be able to successfully complete a background check and drug screeningCompensation & Benefits$21.00 per hourMedical and dental benefitsPaid Time Off (PTO)Holiday pay401(k) eligibility after 90 daysConsistent Monday-Friday scheduleContract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potentialContact Amber Manix at amanix@blackrockres.com for immediate consideration
